The single is at No. 20 on Billboard’s National Christian Audience Chart and has had an astonishing three million impressions in just the first month at radio. “God’s Not Dead (Like A Lion)” is currently in heavy rotation on KLOVE and can also be heard on such stations as Sirius/XM, Family Life Radio Network, WJQK / Grand Rapids, MI; WHPZ / South Bend, IN; WBSN / New Orleans, LA; and KSOS / Las Vegas, NV.

Newsboys’ music videos have been making big waves as well. On the heels of winning mtvU’s contest for “Miracles,” their latest video for “God’s Not Dead (Like A Lion)” is also out now. Following the release of their highly acclaimed rock worship project, the band is currently headlining their biggest tour yet, the “God’s Not Dead Tour.” Running through May 6th, the tour is running in over 60 markets across the U.S. The tour is presented by Compassion International, continuing their partnership with Newsboys to raise awareness for child sponsorships. A special VIP Pre-Show Meet & Greet Experience will be held nightly with a portion of its proceeds going to support Compassion International’s child trafficking initiatives. Other major sponsors supporting the tour are I Am Second and Interstate Batteries.

It was announced by mtvU’s show “The Freshman” that Newsboys won last week’s contest for their music video “Miracles.” This is a contest where fan votes determine which videos get into rotation on mtvU each week.

With this big win, the “Miracles” video started airing this week on mtvU’s rotation for one month, with the video airing approximately 20-25 x’s per week.

Joining Newsboys on the tour will be special guests The City Harmonic (winners of GMA Canada’s New Artist of the Year award), the high-energy pop foursome Anthem Lights, and the rock-driven group Abandon. A special emphasis has been placed on outreach and evangelism, with youth evangelist Bob Lenz joining the tour to share a message of hope. Lenz’s non-profit organization, Life Promotions, will be building a network of supporting churches throughout the tour to facilitate the post-concert evangelistic efforts of the tour, with additional support from I Am Second. I Am Second, a movement meant to inspire all people to live for God and for others, is designed to help people discover their purpose in life.

The “God’s Not Dead Tour” follows Newsboys’ current appearance on “The Story Tour” running through December 18th. Just last month the band wrapped up their west coast leg of the Winter Jam Tour.
